Notices and Discussions  
Council Member Trost acknowledged the work of the streets department for their sign  
work and the craft labor and dedication to their work. Council Member Sleznikow noted  
the September 19 citywide bike rodeo in Copeland Park and from September 30 to  
October 5 is The Week without Driving. Council Member Janssen noted that the  
School District has reached out to neighborhood organizations for the referendum  
presentations and encouraged attendance. Mayor Reynolds acknowledged Police, Fire,  
Public Works, La Crosse Center, and the Airport for the preparation and facilitation of  
the visit by Gwen Walz on Tuesday and other recent high-profile visits. Mayor  
Reynolds also noted Oktoberfest is approaching and thanked staff for the many hours  
they will be working, particularly the Police.
