Approval of Minutes  
Minutes of March 18, 2026 meeting.  
Motion by Commissioner Szymalak to approve the minutes of the March 18,  
2026 meeting. Motion seconded by Commissioner Happel. Unanimous  
approval. Commissioner Jentz abstained.  
Agenda Items:  
Fire Personnel Report - April, 2026  
I.  
Presented by: Chief Schott  
Motion by Commissioner Jentz to accept and file the April, 2026 Fire Personnel  
Report. Motion seconded by Commissioner Szymalak. Unanimous approval.  
A. Appointment of the following to regular status following successful completion of  
probationary period:  
1. Lieutenant Josh DeFlorian  
2. Lieutenant Steven McCluskey  
Motion by Commissioner Szymalak to approve the appointments of the  
following Lieutenants to regular status following successful completion of  
their probationary period: Josh DeFlorian and Steven McCluskey. Motion  
seconded by Commissioner Jentz. Unanimous approval.  
Police Personnel Report - April, 2026

Motion by Commissioner Jentz to accept and file the April, 2026 Police  
Personnel Report. Motion seconded by Commissioner Szymalak. Unanimous  
approval.  
A. Appointment of the following to regular status following successful completion of  
probationary period:  
1. Assistant Chief Daniel Kloss  
2. Captain Jon Wenger  
3. Lieutenant Christopher Oates  
4. Lieutenant Craig Teff  
5. Sergeant Alex Burg  
6. Sergeant Colin Sherden  
Motion by Commissioner Szymalak to approve the appointments of the  
following to regular status following successful completion of their  
probationary period: Assistant Chief Daniel Kloss, Captain Jon Wenger,  
Lieutenant Christopher Oates, Lieutenant Craig Teff, Sergeant Alex Burg, and  
Sergeant Colin Sherden. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jentz.  
Unanimous approval.  
B. Appointment of the following Officers to regular status following successful  
completion of probationary period:  
1. Jack Echternach  
2. Paul Schroeder  
3. Austin Teske  
Motion by Commissioner Szymalak to approve the appointments of the  
Officers to regular status following successful completion of their probationary  
period: Jack Echternach, Paul Schroeder, and Austin Teske. Motion seconded  
by Commissioner Jentz. Unanimous approval.
