Agenda Items:
Application of Carter Bell for a Beverage Operator's License and appeal of
denial by the Police Department.
Note: The Committee and/or Council may convene in closed session pursuant to Wis.
Stats. sec. 19.85(1)(a) to deliberate its decision. Following any closed session, the
Committees and/or Council may reconvene in open session.
A motion was made by Kahlow, seconded by Trost to convene in closed
session pursuant to Wis. Stats. sec. 19.85(1)(a) to deliberate its decision; the
motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
A motion was made by Kahlow, seconded by Trost to reconvene in open
session; the motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
A motion was made by Trost to deny the appeal of Carter Bell due to the
following reasons: pursuant to Wis. Stats. 125.04(5)(a)(1), the applicant does not
qualify to hold a beverage operator's license due to past arrest and conviction
record, and it is not in the best interests of the City to grant said license.The
motion was presented to the body and carried on call of the roll as follows:
