Bike Registration and Theft Prevention.
2.
Randi Pueschner put together and went through the attached presentation
about Garage 529. The mission of this nonprofit/website is to put a database
together of stolen bikes. The owner can input information about their stolen
bike for other members in the community to see. If the bike were to show up in
another community it is easier for members to find the owner of the bike rather
than each community having their own registration system. It is free for users
but would cost the city $1200 a year to use.
