Janssen thanked Parks Staff, Dan Trussoni and Leah Miller, and Pete Bemis,  
landscape architect, for the trees placed on La Crosse Street. Janssen also thanked  
Karuna on their efforts to find private funding and placing ten chronically homeless  
individuals into housing. Mayor Reynolds discussed the ongoing work on the Bike  
and Pedestrian Master Plan and the outlets to provide input, as well as the dedication  
ceremony by the La Crosse City Vision Foundation of the Veterans Memorial statute  
in Riverside Park. Mayor Reynolds recognized Officer Colt Lang who was awarded  
the 2023 95th Assembly District First Responder of the Year award by  
Representative Jill Billings.
