Staff provided an overview. Actions to increase solar arrays for residential buildings
and commercial buildings aren't in the same working group because the market and
incentives are different. Staff plans to reconvene green team soon to get City staff on
board. Plug-in hybrids count as electric vehicles. Staff could develop a decision tree
when steering committee or working group is deciding on future actions. Lenard
volunteered to lead working group 3 and Van Maren, 1.

Lenard made a motion to go forward with both option and request Nicholas
modify proposal to compliment Bright Action proposal, Mindel seconded. The
motion carried by a voice vote. Van Maren abstained.
May '23 Update on Grant Services

Staff talked about potential application for USDA urban forestry grant to plant trees
downtown and do a tree giveaway.
Next Meeting / Agenda Items
The Doodle poll indicated that the second Monday of the month would work best, either
at 4:30pm or 5pm. The next meeting will be 6/12 @ 4:30 pm in the Eagle Room.
Agenda items may include a report from the grant services consultant on the funding
environmental scan.
