Fair Housing Complaint - Hannah Eitland v. Heather Johnson - Determination  
whether the complaint alleges sufficient facts that if true, relief could be  
granted and therefore whether complaint is actionable.

Complainant gave testimony. Respondent gave testimony. Bernard asked about  
lease and when the doctor's notice was received. Complainant added that the ESA  
agreement would impact the deposit, which is why her roommates did not sign off. The  
deposit would go toward the cost of restoring the condition of the residence to pre-ESA  
conditions. Respondent said that includes a special kind of professional carpet  
cleaning and could include duct cleaning. Bakalars asked about roommate  
involvement in the ESA process and when they changed their support.

- Determination that the Commission does not have jurisdiction.

The commission had no objections to the referral and will allow staff to refer  
City-related cases administratively, so they can be addressed in a timely manner.  
Recent discrimination complaints about the City or Housing Authority that  
have been referred.

There were no updates from the DEI Committee and staff did not receive any updates  
from REACH or the homelessness coordinator this month.  
Next Meeting / Agenda Items  
The next meeting will be 5/8 at 5:15pm. Agenda items may include follow up on the  
cases where there may be sufficient evidence for a discrimination complaint.
