Mid West Music Fest would like to request:
$1000 to be spent on performing artists at the September fest
$500 to be spent on youth talent and visual arts activities during out FREE Saturday portion of the MWMF. Our Saturday daytime events are FREE to the public. We hope to feature a Family Stage, a Student Stage, Dangerous Fun circus show, Vintage and Artisan Market, Solar Suitcase Musik Show, puppets with Dr. Bob, a free-play area for kids, and other family-friendly acts and activities yet to be determined. We will also be partnering with local health and wellness entities (Palm and Pine Yoga, UWL and Fannin Art Therapy) as part of our mental health initiative to present sessions of mindfulness, movement, meditation and art and yoga. Through our other mental health partners (Public Radio’s - Call to Mind, Dissonance, YMCA - La Crosse) we will host conversations with some artists on mental health prior to their sets, host a artist panel, and provide a sober green room alternative for artists during the festival weekend.
