Annual Code of Ethics Review

Pursuant to section 2 - 128(b) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Crosse regarding the Code of Ethics, adopted February 12, 1981, it is required that:
"Each Public Officer, the President of the Common Council, the Chairman of each Board, Commission or Agency and the Head of each Department, shall between January 1st and January 31st, each year, review the provisions of this Code himself and with his fellow Council, Board, Commission, Agency members or Subordinates as the case may be, and certify to the City Clerk by February 15th that such annual review had been undertaken."
The Chair of each Board or Committee must review the code of ethics with their members. A paper certification form should be signed by the Chair of each Board or Committee. The paper certification should be turned in to the Clerk's office. If your board does not meet regularly, the Chair should contact the members of the board and review the code with them before signing the paper certification form.
