Consideration of contribution to Herons of La Crosse 10th Annivesary display

The "Herons of La Crosse" are making a comeback for an anniversary celebration! Encouraging the arts downtown is part of our strategic plan at Downtown Mainstreet, Inc. This project comes at a time when public art has been a frequent topic of conversation in the community. The beauty of the Heron’s project is that it highlights a collaboration and celebration of local businesses.
For the 10 year celebration, we’re looking to engage the community and ask for their support to bring the Heron’s back. You can help with this by doing the following:
1. Help us spread the word about the Heron project and share the Go Fund Me link within your businesses, friends and on social media. https://www.gofundme.com/herons
2. Show your support by making a donation.
The 6-foot-tall sculptures were originally displayed in 2008 and are an original work of art created by local, regional, and national artists. The Pump House, in partnership with Downtown Mainstreet, Inc. and Explore La Crosse, would like to make them available again this summer with a "flock" exhibition of over 20 artistic birds opening this spring in downtown. Organizers are asking to help bring the "Herons of La Crosse" back to the streets of downtown!
